Tax forms available online to OPERS members
Ohio Public Employees Retirement System members who are registered for online access may retrieve their 2014 tax forms online beginning Friday.
This feature of the OPERS online account can help members begin to file their taxes. Members can read the 1099-R form online and print it out. The forms will be mailed to all members no later than Jan. 31.
If you’re already registered for your OPERS online account, click here to sign in. You can access your Form 1099-R by clicking on the “Documents” tab from the main menu.
If you have not registered for your online OPERS account, it’s easy and quick. Click on “Need an account?” via the link listed above, and follow the instructions.
We’ve created an online tool that can help you understand the 1099-R form. It can help you understand which parts of the form to use for your taxes, how to change your federal and state tax withholdings, and how to access and print your form.

Was told I could access my 2014 1099-R online Jan.23, 2015, however cannot access it as of Jan. 24, 2015. Just my name and address come up in PDF
You do need to have Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat. If you are still having trouble, give us a call at 800-222-737. However, we will be sending out paper copies by the end of this week.
I, too, could only display the backside of the 1099-R…. Name/address and explanation of the form. I have Adobe. I will wait for the mailed form.
Went on line Saturday, January 24 and was unable to sign in as a member in order to get a copy of my 1099-R. Very frustrating! Please advise when member pages and information will be available. Thank you.
If you are having trouble signing in to your account, give us a call at 800-222-7377. We will be mailing out 1099s by the end of the month.
I need my tax forms from 2010 through 2013. How do I retrieve these?
You can access them through your online account, or give us a call at 800-222-737.
Every year I have tried to see and print a copy of my 1099-R form and every year it is the same thing my name and address is all that I can get. An I do have the Adode Reader x1 installed. Why does this not work better then you have it not working right every year. I do wish you would set this up so it would work right instead we all have to wait until you mail out the 1099-R forms. Do you have a good answer for all of us who for some reason can’t see or download our 1099-R forms.
We had a problem with the software code this year that affected the viewing of the complete documents for some members. Thanks for your input.
It would be easier if you just gave us direct links to the PDF download instead of trying to embed it the ‘viewer’ cruft. It doesn’t work right in Safari, most menu bar doesn’t show up and you get a scroll bar window inside a scroll bar window.
It’s likely, because of our system structure and the security that we require regarding member accounts, that your suggestion would not be feasible. We are working on the issue. Remember that paper copies of 1099s will be sent by Jan. 31 at the latest.
Have tried for 2 days to retrieve copy of 2014 Income tax form. They even gave me a temporary password to use, then the system tells me it isn’t valid. This is very frustrating, I am very unhappy with this system!!!
Why did I receive two (2) W2’s, did one superseed the other or am I to add them together?
We can’t answer that question on the blog. Give us a call at 800-222-7377, and we can help you out.
I would like to know if you can receive other money while on disability? An example of my question is as follows. If I have a garage sale do I have to claim that money?. How much are you allowed to earn as extra money separate from disability pension.
You can have a garage sale, and you don’t need to claim that money. Also, there is not a set amount that you can earn in addition to your disability benefit.
If you engage in employment, though, that’s a different story. We can help you in that respect if that should be the case.
how do i get forms to show i cash this out i need for retirement
