OPERS, Ohio Deferred Comp mark National Retirement Security Week

Oct. 22, 2018 – National Retirement Security Week, sponsored by the National Association of Governmental Defined Contribution Administrators, is an event designed to promote the importance of saving for retirement.

Visit the OPERS Financial Wellness page for tools and information that can help you gain a better understanding of your personal finances and retirement savings goals. You can also learn more about Ohio Deferred Compensation, a 457(b) retirement plan specifically for Ohio public employees. This plan is a convenient way to supplement your OPERS pension and save even more for retirement.

  • Do the OPERS health care administrators keep tabs on what is going on in Washington DC as it effects Medicare? I am hearing that the Republican dominated federal government is proposing cuts and changes in Medicare to make up the deficits resulting from the tax cut and increases in military spending. All this will effect all retires!
