I have noticed on monthly reports from Express Scripts a column that recaps” other Payments” made by “additional employer coverage”
What is this additional coverage and will OPERS be making it available in 2016 via the connector?
Please advise!!

I have a question regarding the re-employment of retirees. I have been checking and still see nothing regarding the meeting between OPERS and the IRS. When I attended our last PERI meeting in Feb. wer were told they were meeting that week. So far I have seen nothing on this. We were told if an OPERS retiree gets rehired into an OPERS position they would not get the allotment for health care. Do you have a defenite answer on that yet? Thank you.
Sandy
Sandy,
This is an issue that OPERS staff will work on with the OPERS Board of Trustees in an upcoming board meeting. There is no definitive answer yet.

So we are supposed to showproof of payment for our premiums to get reimbursed. They keep talking about cancelled checks. No one gets a cancelled check anymore. What do we use?
Robert,
We are researching your question and will get back to you soon with an answer.

Most banks create monthly statements that list every transaction for that period re: check or online bill pay. If I write a check — which is rare now — I enter that into my check register as before. Between the transaction statement and my check register I have no problem tracking my expenditures AND deposits from retirement/government/etc. sources such as SSA and OPERS. Cancelled checks are pretty much dinosaurs now ….. just present a copy of your monthly statement for the official to examine — NOT COPY!
