Educational opportunities abound
OPERS encourages members to take an active role in their retirement
The Ohio Public Employees Retirement System offers a variety of educational opportunities in various formats for active and retired members.
They include OPERS- or employer-sponsored in-person seminars, interactive webinars and online recorded presentations designed to meet the needs of all members. Our goal is simple: We want to help, whether it’s assisting new members in selecting their OPERS retirement plan, helping members learn the importance of saving, aiding those approaching retirement or simply assisting members to use their online account.
Our education subject roster is comprehensive. We want to inspire members to become more engaged on the features of their OPERS retirement plan as well as disclose and learn more about other financial topics that ensure a pathway to a secure retirement.
There is no shortage of enthusiasm when it comes to ensuring that members understand their current and future retirement benefits. The OPERS Education Department consists of a team of public speaking-orientated professionals who conduct a variety of informative and instructional retirement education seminars specifically designed to meet the needs of our active and retired member populations.
All of our education is created and presented by experienced OPERS educators who are OPERS members like you. These presenters continually adapt to the ever-changing retirement and health care environment. They routinely update and design educational materials so that OPERS members and retirees receive and understand current and relevant retirement information.
