OPERS posts holiday hours

Offices closed on Thanksgiving and the day after

By Michael Pramik, Ohio Public Employees Retirement System

Nov. 21, 2017 – As a reminder to members and retirees, the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and the day after Thanksgiving.

The OPERS offices are open on Wednesday, but our lobby will close at 1:30 p.m., and phone lines will close at 2:30 p.m. that day. Normal hours will resume on Monday.

You can use your online account, accessible from the OPERS website, to review a host of information 24 hours a day. Your online account contains current data on account and service credit values, beneficiary designations and many other valuable items.

If you don’t have an account already, you can follow the “Need an Account?” link, and we’ll guide you through the process.

We also have lots of information on our website. Review our Frequently Asked Questions for details on issues members ask us about.

Finally, if you call when our offices are closed, you can press “2” to hear ‘Today’s Fast Facts,” which provides answers to the most-common questions we’re receiving at that time.
