OPERS releases April health care video
The Ohio Public Employees Retirement System has released the latest monthly health care chat with OPERS Health Care Director Marianne Steger.
In the April video, Steger addresses member questions related to OPERS Medicare Connector reimbursements, the attained-age model, surviving spouses and other issues.

Agree–very helpful info. I like that this session moves directly to the Summer 2014 presentation. If a retiree was unable to attend Ms Steger goes through the whole information package clearly. It’s easy to follow. Thanks.
What can’t we print a copy of our cancelled check from the bank to prove reimbursement? Putting us into an insurance company loop is really making it difficult. More paper work. Those check printouts should suffice. They do with other organizations.
Secondly, I have written emails to regarding how to set up a HSA account at my bank for deposit of my reimbursements. Please make it clear how we are to proceed.

We will use existing bank account information that’s already used for the OPERS pension benefit payment to begin HRA direct deposits. Retirees will have the option to change this through their online accounts in the future.
